About the First Friday Art Walk
From spring through late summer, downtown Oceanside turns into an open-air gallery on the first Friday of every month. More than 60 local artists, makers and creatives sell handmade work around the Civic Center Library plaza and Artist Alley, with live music throughout the evening and an After Art Party on the library courtyard stage.
The art walk is presented by Oceanside Friends of the Arts together with the Oceanside Cultural Arts District. Right around the corner, the Oceanside Museum of Art offers free admission from 5 to 8 PM on First Fridays, including a docent-led tour. Downtown Oceanside is easy to reach by NCTD Coaster or Sprinter to the Oceanside Transit Center, and the pier and beach are just a short walk away.
